Peat substrates are used both in open ground,... The purchase of peat (for nurseries) is necessary to achieve this to ensure high-quality cultivation of forest seedlings in the Nursery Department of the State Forestry Office of VĮ. Peat substrates are used both in open ground and for growing seedlings in containers, so their quality directly determines the conditions for the growth of seedlings, root systems development and overall plant vitality. Different types of trees (coniferous and deciduous) require substrates with different composition, structure and chemical parameters, so it is necessary to purchase specialized peat mixtures. Unpackaged ones are also needed peat used for larger quantities and general cultivation work. The purchase is carried out in accordance with the principles of green procurement - peat is a natural raw material suitable for multiple use in the growing process, and packaging requirements are set for recyclability. This allows reducing the negative impact on the environment and ensuring sustainable operations. Given that the cultivation of plantations is continuous and depends on seasonality and actual demand, the preliminary quantity is estimated and the goods will be purchased according to the actual demand during the contract execution period. SUMMARY OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS The object of purchase is peat for forest nurseries: loose peat substrate, peat substrate for conifers and peat substrate for deciduous trees. The total preliminary quantity is 1080 m³ (600 m³ unpacked, 200 m³ for conifers, 280 m³ for deciduous). Purchased peat must be suitable for growing forest seedlings both in open ground and in containers.
