• Description:
• In order to ensure the progress measures "Encourage waste recycling and the use of secondary raw materials" provided for in the development program of environmental protection and climate change management of the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, the manager of the 2022-2030 development program effectiveness of financing, it is necessary to assess the compliance of the development program with current market needs, EU strategic goals and geopolitical challenges. It is important to determine whether the planned investments in this area are sufficient and will help ensure local development of the waste processing industry, effective waste processing, providing local industry with high-quality secondary raw materials, reducing dependence on imported and fossil raw materials. In order to achieve the specified goals, it is necessary to identify their implementation gaps and make sound recommendations for further policy action. For that purpose, it is necessary to carry out an evaluation of the measures of the development program related to the achievement of the objectives of the circular economy and to provide recommendations.
